Harding Black, San Antonio, TX   circa 1940-1990

Shades of purple and green are predominant in the mottled glazing on this vintage ashtray.    Artist signed and dated 1962.  Harding Black was a skilled ceramist, but his true passion lay in glaze research.   He was known as the "Dean of Texas Ceramics."

8 1/2" wide x 1  1/2" deep
