Vintage scenic tile has a smooth surface with multiple glaze colors. Scene depicts a volcano in Mexico with cacti in the foreground. Uriarte Talavera is a traditional Talavera enterprise in the city of Puebla, which has been in existence since 1824. It was begun as a family workshop by Dimas Uriarte and is still in business today. However, they still make pottery and tiles using 16th century methods.

Very good condition; craze lines on surface. Signed with the Uriarte mark on on bottom right corner.
